今回は、「学校を作りたい」というShoさんの目標
について伺いました。

自分の学校を作ってみんなと共有したいこととは

Sho: I’m planning to have my own company, my own school.
（私は自分の会社、自分の学校を作る計画をしています）

――Your own school?
（自分の学校？）

Sho: Yes, my own school, like a language school.
（はい、自分の学校、語学学校です）

Yeah, I mean, I’m planning to have my own school and, you know, where I can teach my student how amazing learning new things is.
（そう、生徒に新しいことを学ぶことがどんなに素晴らしいかを教える、自分の学校を作る計画をしています）

――How amazing learning new things is?
（新しいことを学ぶことがどんなに素晴らしいか？）

Sho: Not only English but also like a lot of things, like new things.
（英語だけではなく、新しいこととか、たくさんのことを学べる）

英語もテレビゲームも、同じプロセスの学びである

――Like what?
（例えば何を？）

Sho: For example like, like TV games, TV games.
（例えば、テレビゲームとか）

A lot of people think that TV games aren’t study, playing TV games isn’t study, right?
（多くの人はテレビゲームは学びではないと考えます、ゲームで遊ぶことは勉強ではないですよね？）

But, I believe it’s also a study.
（でも、私はそれも学びだと思います）

You have to research and you have to read like… books.
（研究しないといけないし、本を読まないといけません）

So, it’s actually the same process as just study, like study math or like English or any, anything like that.
（なので、それって実は数学とか英語とかの勉強とかと同じプロセスなのです）

I realize that fact through learning English.
（英語の学習を通してそれに気づきました）

So, I wanna share that process to a lot of people.
（だから、そのプロセスについて、多くの人と共有したいのです）

And, I wanna make them realize that learning new things is amazing.
（そして、新しいことを学ぶことは素晴らしいことに気づいてもらいたいのです）

英語のおかげで学ぶ素晴らしさに気づけた

――So, is that because you had any trouble learning when you were like little?
（小さいときに勉強でつまずいたりしたことがあるからそう思うのですか？）

Sho: Yes, like I was a high schooler, I was studying only for the exams.
（はい、高校生のとき、試験のためだけに勉強していました）

Not for like my knowledge or my, you know, interests.
（知識を得るためでも、興味があるからでもなく）

And I went to New York, I started studying English and I realize that learning English is like very interesting.
（そして、ニューヨークに行って英語を学び始めて、英語の勉強がすごく楽しいことに気づいたんです）

Yeah, and after that, like I felt like learning other things also very interesting, like business or even math.
（その後、ビジネスとか、数学でさえ、学ぶことは楽しいと感じるようになりました）

So, since I realized by learning English, so I can share the same process to a lot of people by teaching English.
（ですから、自分が英語を学ぶことで気づいたので、英語を教えることで、これと同じプロセスを多くの人と共有できます）

――So, it’s like you want to open the new doors for a lot of people?

Sho: Yes, exactly.
